Paul McCartney in Halifax - Some news about the set-list.

12th July 2009, 3 comments.

A three hour- gig, an extraordinary shape - Paul McCartney, pictured in Halifax, yesterday night

That's it...The concert ended a few hours ago... We already know that there was a "traditional" setlist. Paul opened the show with Drive My Car et the concert ended by the "usual" medley Sgt.Pepper/ The End.

Among the hits, the people of Halifax has heard songs like Flaming Pie, Band On The Run, Live And Let Die, Blackbird, Calico Skies...

Among the most noticeable surprises Paul kept Helter Skelter, and as we announced a few days ago, Paul sang a nice version of Mull Of Kintyre helped by par le Halifax Citadel Pipes Band.

But also, Paul sang for the very first time a song never performed before, by him or by any other ex-Beatle.

Paul sang Day Tripper for the first time since the historic Candlestick Park concert of August 1966.

MaccaBlog.com will provide you as soon as possible photos and of course the complete setlist, as soon as it will be given to us. So MaccaBlog people, stay tuned...!
